Your company blog might have hundreds of articles written about your industry. Writing each article takes an incredible amount time and patience. Wouldn’t it be nice to give your blog a little extra exposure for all the hard work? I would say yes, and if you agree with me then using Facebook to promote it might be a commendable option. With Facebook’s built-in application, Notes, importing your blog can be done fairly easily. Here are the steps to import your blog.
Step 1: Add a tab for Notes…
First you must log into your personal profile to find your Fan Page. If you already have a Fan Page or somehow forget how to access it read Create Your Own Facebook Fan Page for step by step details. Once you are the wall of your Fan Page click the plus icon to add a new tab. Then choose Notes.
Step 2: Write a New Note…
Once in the Notes tab click Write a New Note towards the right-hand side.
Step 3: Find the Notes icon…
Here it gets a little tricky to find out where to go. For some unexplained reason Facebook does a great job of making simple things difficult. In the next screen, towards the top right, you will see a row of small icons. Look for the one that looks like a notepad and click on it.
Step 4: Import a Blog…
Under Note Settings on the right click Import a blog.
Step 5: Import an External Blog…
If you’re on the Import an External Blog page you will be one step closer to completion. Before entering the URL you will need to find the link of your RSS feed. If you do not have an RSS feed or can not find it contact your website developers. Once the Web URL is entered click Start Importing.
Step 6: Confirm Import…
Next, review the content that was imported. If all is okay click Confirm Importtowards the right.
Step 7: Congratulations
After clicking Confirm Import your blog articles will be added to your Facebook Fan Pages.
Where will my Fans see my blog feed?
Your blog has been added but you might be wondering where your fans can view it. Click your business name on the top left.
Notes tab on your Fan Page…
You might not notice the Notes at first. If it is not there click the arrows and then choose Notes.
Your Notes page on Facebook…
Tada! Your blog feed is now automatically publishing to your Facebook Fan Page.
Conclusion
The hard work you put into writing articles for your blog will finally pay off. Yippee! Use the application, Notes, on your Fan Page as a simple and effective way to promote your company.
