iPhone Application: Now panoramic capture has become accessible to photographers by way of mobile app makers. The new iPhone app UScapeit is the latest of the bunch and makes capturing and sharing the perfect 3D panorama as
simple as shooting a video.
The free application, developed by EveryScape, merely requires the user to shoot video of the location, place or attraction he or she wishes to see transformed into a 3D panoramic image. UScapeit users can also choose to shoot multiple videos, called “views,” from different perspectives.

The only catch is that video capture process feels a bit unnatural; the user is instructed to hold the mobile device steady and turn in a circle to capture a 360 degree shot.
Though the capture process may feel awkward, the final product is an exceptional and life-like 3D rendering of the 360-degree shot. The user can choose to share the capture via email or Facebook, and friends can then pan around, up and down to check out the entire 3D image.
UScapeit maker EveryScape produces patented technology capable of transforming photo stills into three-dimensional experiences. It employs this technology too inside its Eats applications to give mobile users views inside nearby restaurants. The consumer-friendly UScapeit application lets end users harness that same technology for their own creative photo and social purposes.
Other companies have their own take on the mobile panorama capture. Occipital makes the for-charge 360 Panorama [iTunes link] iPhone app and Bing just released Photosynth for iOS for capturing panoramas via still shots.
