Send Free SMS (Text Message) Using Gmail

You Can send SMS to your friends and family member who are far from you by using Gmail. Gmail had provided the SMS Service to its clients.
You have to change certain change to its setting for the activation. Here is the steps.

Gmail chat lets you easily send messages to and from cell phones. If this feature isn't already enabled on your account, you can enable it. Just Click the gear icon in the upper-right and select Gmail settings, and select the Labs tab. Scroll down until you see Text Messaging (SMS) in Chat, select Enable andSave Changes. You may also enable a supplementary lab called SMS in Chat gadget. For now, SMS in Chat only works for sending messages to phones in Selected Countries.

Step 1: Add a contact to your Gmail account.
>Log-in to your Google Mail
>On the rightmost column, click on "contacts".
>Add your contact by supplying his/her name, email address and more importantly, his/her mobile number
